Educational Principle / Mission

The Faculty of Glocal Policy Management and Communications aims to develop “active, global citizens.”
We cultivate human resources who think about local problems from a global perspective and create local vitality by enriching the natural environment, culture and industry of the community.
We cultivate human resources who connect countries around the world, including Asia, with local communities, and contribute to the formation of a peaceful and abundant international community.

In the Department of International Studies and Communications

We cultivate human resources with a deep understanding of the international community, the regions of the world and Japan, who can play an active, international role in various settings, including the corporate sector
We cultivate human resources who can communicate with people from all over the world
We cultivate human resources who can teach the Japanese language

Features of the curriculum

Emphasis on learning based on international policy including issues in international relations and local communities
Supporting independent learning with an awareness of issues, based on international exchange experiences
Ability to learn systematically, progressing in stages from specialized basic subjects to core subjects
Conferring mastery of foreign languages essential to global citizens (English and Chinese)
